Richard was called to the bar by the Inner Temple in November 1990.
Admitted as a solicitor in August 1997 and qualifying as a solicitor-advocate with higher rights of audience in all proceedings.
He has a keen interest in trial advocacy at all levels, including the youth and adult magistrates’ courts and the crown court. Richard has a particular interest in human rights and the rights of the citizen and individual when dealing with the state.
Richard was accredited as a police station representative in 1994 and has been attending police stations since to provide advice and assistance to suspects accused of offences ranging from public order and theft to murder and serious sexual offences including rape and incest and child abuse.
An experienced trial advocate at all levels of the criminal justice system.
Richard is a court and police station duty solicitor and advises and represents in extradition proceedings.
